I am renting in East Belfast and an opportunity came to buy a house near Tesco in Castlereagh. Having a baby now i am thinking about schools, are there any good schools nearby/within catchment area ? I heard Greenwood/Strandtown and Orangefield are good but i don't know if i would be living too far (as good schools are often oversubscribed & prioritise those living closer). should look to buy/rent more south or more north? We are both Europeans & not religious, so we would love a school where racism is not an issue (our closest school at present is surrounded by a houses with UKIP banners :-( ) and science, arts and sports are encouraged.
