York good secondary schools?

We are relocating to York at the end of May and need to apply for a secondary school for my son who will start in September. We will be moving to Huntington Mews and would like some recommendations for the admissions list. Understandably it’s late.
Also, what schools not to go near?

your nearest school is huntington secondary which is judged to be 'outstanding' by ofsted. all the best x

Huntington will be oversubscribed. You will need to be prepared to travel to the west side of York for Vale of York or York High.
