Village around Cambridge

Kaelle2 · 22/04/2019 10:37

Single prof mum, working betw London and Cambridge, seeking nice 3-4 bed house w garden in a welcoming village. All girls are “mostly” out of the house! Quick access to station a must, but not necessarily from Cambridge itself. (Apologies for repeat post in this “local” group! I only found out about you AFTER I posted in the Property section...newbie🙄)

What's your budget? I used to live in Whittlesford which might fit the bill - on the line for the fast (er) train in to Liverpool Street.

There aren't villages on a fast line to London around Cambridge as far as I know. Saffron Walden might be worth a look but station is in Audley End. Bishops Stortford is between London and Cambridge but much bigger than village, well placed for trains.

Milton for easy access to Cambridge North station?

Which London station do you need and how old are the children? If they are teenagers be aware that a lot of the small villages haven’t a lot on, so you really want to be able to walk to a station.
