Getting to Sutton for trains

Hi all

I am new here and discovering the joys of the talk section...

We both need to commute into central London but keen to live in quiet streets, which means being a bit further out.

There is a lovely place in South Cheam. If we were to drive to Sutton station car park to get trains into London (as Belmont station is a slow train), would that be feasible or is the morning traffic absolutely awful? Any idea if they car park gets filled up?

Thank you so much!

I work in Sutton fairly regularly and park in the multi story behind the civic offices. It’s never full and only 4.50 a day. Prob 5 min walk from station. I drive in from ewell way and traffic not too bad.

Thanks Zigzag, that is reassuring!

We currently live in Epsom which has great trains, so was worried about moving for the first time to a home that is not walkable to the station.

Epsom should be fine- I used to live there years back!
