Waldegrave Yr 10 entry chances?

Help! For various reasons, we need to move DD from her current school. We want her to move, she wants to move.

She is in Year 9 and I want her to start a new school no later than Sept (as obviously she will be starting GCSEs and it's already cutting it fine).

She is bright (I am only mentioning this as different schools support in different ways) so no SEN requirements. She is also easily distracted and tends to get caught up in drama...

We have a place on offer at RPA which, despite the struggles its had, I am not entirely against. We have a fair few friends there that are really happy and doing well. But I am well aware that it might not be ideal for someone of DDs nature.

She is number 1 or 2 (has changed a couple of times) on the B list for Waldegrave (so someone from the 15% in catchment B would have to leave for her to get an offer). I think she would be in safer hands here.

Does anyone have any idea what the likelihood of that kind of movement might be before September? I know it's a real shot in the dark but I can't seem to get any kind of suggestion from Richmond Admissions as to how likely/unlikely a place is.

What I don't really want to do is take a place at RPA and then move her yet again... I feel like I need to get behind whatever we do next and I can't decide wether to jump in with RPA or hold out till the last minute.

Any advice welcome.
