What's it like living in Cambridge?

Where are the best areas for schools?

It depends on what you're looking for.
Do you want your child/children to experience an education with a social cross section where the pastoral care and Inclusion facilities are good?
Would you rather a school who performs well academically?

Both ideally.

What age are your children? Independent schools or state? Where will parents be working? What is your budget? Have you done any basic research yourself?

Do you mind spending many many hours a week stuck in traffic.

Cambridge is a beautiful place mostly, but I wish I didn't live and work here.

Bloody expensive, can't park anywhere, takes an hour to travel 8 miles.

I can't drive. We rarely use our car.
I love living close to work as does partner.
My children were state educated and are at good universities now.

Where will you be working OP? Traffic in Cambridge is a major issue, so you need to plan the commute. Then what's your budget? It's approaching London prices in some areas. These 2 will likely determine initial area choices.

Fortunately, schools are generally v good :-)
