Bolton Commute

Hi, I am due to start work at Royal Bolton Hospital in August and my boyfriend will start at Salford. We would like to live near to Manchester City centre but looking for some advice about the commute to the hospitals (he doesn't drive) From google maps it looks as though Castlefield would be better than Salford Quays to drive to Bolton - looking for any other suggestions or advice :)

Thanks :)

I used to live in the Green Quarter (near arena and Victoria station) and commute to salford by car - not far from the hospital. There are plenty of bus options for your boyfriend.

Living centrally is amazing, so much going on, but the commute to Bolton I think could be a pain depending on time.

Will you be renting to begin with? If so you can give it a go and see what works best.

Yeah we would be renting to begin with and happy to try areas but trying to work out the best option to start with. Thank you for the reply :)

No probs.

How old are you both and what are you looking for in terms of lifestyle? I might be able to suggest areas which could suit, it may not all be about commute.

Thank you -We are both 24 and just finished uni. Would ideally like to be reasonably close to the city centre for things going on, restaurants and bars but at the same time with a relatively easy commute.
