Hi everyone 
We live on Rotherhithe street but DS 10 (only child) goes to school elsewhere and has a great social life but neither of us have friends in the local area. We've lived here for 2 years now but life still revolves around our old area.
We found out yesterday that DS will go to secondary quite far away (first choice!) so he isn't likely to make new friends here soon and I was hoping to make new mummy friends in year 7.
I'd love for DS to have a local friend to kick around with the park.
Does anyone have any tips on how to meet new people locally?
