Infant observation for social work masters

Good evening

I am a first year Social Work Masters student at University of East London and The Tavistock and Portman Trust. I am about to begin a unit in Human Development, and a requirement of this unit is to observe an infant between the age of newborn and 4 and a half for an hour a week.

The reason for my post is to ask whether there might be any parents who would be happy for me to observe their child for an hour a week for the next three months. I have a self directed study day on Thursdays, so would be available at any time on a Thursday. Ideally the observation would need to be at the same time each week.

I would need to begin this on Thursday 7th February, and continue until the end of April. As part of the unit, I am required to discuss the observation in a weekly seminar group, as well as submit an assignment on one of the observations, however all information will be kept completely confidential, and there would be no reference to names or any other identifying information.

I can provide a copy of my DBS as well as a letter from the university confirming my place on the course, if required.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Looking forward to hearing from you.
