Hiya

Just thought i would make a post in the Medway local section to say hello.

I'm currently living in Rochester and have lived in the area all my life.

What about you?

Hello there

I've lived in Gillingham for 2.5 years now having moved from Gravesend.

Doesn't seem like there are many of us from this part of the woods!

cheekychaps · 17/07/2007 14:35

Hi

I live in Maidstone and have DS 19 months old.

RGPargy · 17/07/2007 16:07

All fairly local to each other then! I've just moved house so now i'm officially from Chatham (but sshhhhh!!!! dont tell anyone!!). Love the house but hate losing the Rochester post code. I'm such a snob!!

Hi
I live in Blue Bell Hill. Does anyone know me in RL?

RGPargy · 06/08/2007 10:57

Hi NAB3. I only know one MN'er in real life and she lives MILES from me!!

OP posts:
blobsmummy · 13/08/2007 11:45

I met up with other MN'ers in Tunbridge Wells for the Mile For Maude sponsored walk - was a good laugh. Don't know anyone more local though.

RGPargy · 13/08/2007 17:06

Except me! I know you dont "know" me, but i'm local, nonetheless!

OP posts:
NAB3 · 19/08/2007 14:59

I am sure there must be people on here who know me!

RGPargy · 29/08/2007 10:09

I dont know any MN-ers apart from Misdee. Does that make a Billy-No-Mates??

OP posts:
purplelephant · 13/12/2007 20:40

Hi all, i'm moving from the North East to Strood in the New Year and know nothing of the Medway area or anyone in the area. What are the best groups to go to as i have a 2 month old baby girl. I'm a billy-no-mates! any suggestions??

RGPargy · 14/12/2007 09:30

Hi purple!!

That's a massive move you're doing there! Why are you relocating? (tell me to mind mine own business if you like - i'm just nosey )

Cant recommend anywhere unfortunately as i've only just become a parent again after 17 year break so i'm totally clueless again!

Hopefully someone will be along soon with some suggestions.

Hope the move goes smoothly for you! Perhaps we can hook up for a coffee once you're all settled (i'm in Chatham, about 20 mins from Strood). Maybe we can drag some of the shy Medway MNers out too!

liahgen · 19/02/2008 23:57

Hi,
Me too Maidstone,

I have dd 13, ds 10 and half, ds 4 and half, dd nearly 3, and baby dd 9mths. x

I like coffee, and car boots. x

blobsmummy · 20/02/2008 11:24

My goodness liahgen - when do you find time to breathe?! I'm really worried about coping with 2

Just washed all the newbie clothes, so am ready when he is now!

RGPargy · 20/02/2008 14:04

hi Liahgen and welcome!

Wow, 5 kids! I bet your house is always full of wonderful children's noise! Brilliant!

BM - Ah i remember doing all the washing of newbie clothes waiting for the arrival of DD. I didn't go out on a pink splurge either coz i was convinced that the sonographer could be wrong and she'd end up a boy!!

OP posts:
liahgen · 20/02/2008 20:48

Hi ladies,
thanks for the warm welcome. Yep, i think tis safe to say we are a noisy lot at the best of times, eldest dd is mostly doing her own thing these days, tis bad for her image to be seen in public with her motley family!! lol

Blobsmummy, you will be fab with 2, I remember expecting 2nd child and being worried I wouldn't have enough time/love/patience, etc. Oh the good ole days. .. Not really

RGpargy, what a lovely age, 10 wks, seems such a long time ago now, my little lady 9mths now,

Maybe we could arrange a get together sometime, I love meeting people. Anyone would be up for it?

dylsmum1998 · 20/02/2008 20:57

hi liahgen
oh my you must be busy- bet there lots of good times too- or am i just deluded lol i would love a larger family
i'd be up for meeting up I love finding new people to chat with

liahgen · 20/02/2008 21:20

Dylsmum, you are most definately not deluded. I love having a large family. (eldest dd has just stomped off to bed stating, "bet you haven't even got me a birthday present yet!!", b/day is 4th March.

Is your boy football mad like mine? He discovered it couple years ago, andnow it takes up the whole weekend mornings, dh coaches the team aswell so its muddy boots all round.

I would love one more baby, but we swing from .. Wouldn't it be nice to have some life back, to NO BLOODY WAY, we can't control the kids we've got, to looking at them and saying, oh look at them, lets have loads.
We were at Kids zone today near Rochester, anyone know it/been there?
