Nervous mum moving from Dubai to Shere!

Looking for a network of helpful mums to help guide me on any local mums groups or ‘good to know’ information on the area of Guildford, specifically Shere where I will moving to in March! Having lived in Dubai for 9 years I’m pretty clueless and having visited the village last week I didn’t see anyone my age...(I’m 33) I’m moving with family so hoping to make some mummy friends!x

Not a Shere resident, but know the area well. I think perhaps in the Winter it is quite quiet. Summer on the other hand is heaving, as Shere attracts a lot of tourists and day trippers. Shere infants is a really sweet village school, and hidden behind the church is an outdoor pool for the village use only, and in the Summer this is a lovely village facility. Lots and lots of children use it, so yes, there are definitely families and children in and around the village. Obviously a very different location than Dubai, but I hope it all goes well for your move.

How is shere? It's on our shortlist of where to move next. I've got a 15 month old so I want somewhere with a lively community that's good for babies!!
