Balfour Primary - + life in Preston Park

Hi - I'm moving to Brighton and have been told there are spaces at Balfour. It has had a poor Ofsted but does that matter? Any experience?

Also - how friendly is the area between PP station/ Balfour to live in? Does it feel a bit suburban? I used to live more centrally in Brighton and was younger but want a view/ lovely parks/ nice pubs ! I really want to find a part of Brighton with its own community vibe but need the train link back to London

It's great. The school has an interim leadership team after he old head had a "bad" offstead but to be honest it's still very impressive. All the schools are so good it kind of doesn't matter which one they go to (within reason).

I've got yr 2 and yr6 and they've had great teachers, lovely parents etc. Can't speak highly enough of it. Don't know if you're still watching this thread. If so I'll give you more info
