Hello, I'm Simina and I am doing an Infant Observation course as part of my training to become a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist with the Association for Group and Individual Psychotherapy (AGIP). I am on a quest to find a pregnant woman or a woman who has recently given birth with a view to visiting her at home with her baby once a week for one year. The idea is for me to observe, in an entirely neutral and non-judgemental way, the development of the first relationship in a baby's life. If you feel you may be interested in participating in my baby observation, I would be very grateful. I can provide an introductory letter from my training organisation and I have a DBS Certificate. I live in Chalkwell, Essex but I am happy to commute.
What you may get out of being observed with your baby? Many mothers who have participated have found they derived much satisfaction from having a regular space to reflect and notice the changes in their baby over these early months. Many mothers have gained a better understanding of their children's development and emotional needs. If you would like to learn more I would be very glad to hear from you. We can speak on the phone or by email. Thank you for taking the time to read my request. Kind regards, Simina.
