Anyone been to Runabout in farnborough? That's another option for today.

ForcesSweetheart · 25/06/2007 13:22

Hiya Debi, YEs I've been to runabouts, quite like it there coz the toddlers have a good big bit to play in separate from both the babies and older kids.

ForcesSweetheart · 25/06/2007 13:25

Oh and just a quick note to all on the local site. I'm having a Pampered Chef party on Monday 2nd July (in Aldershot). Would be lovely to see some local mumsnetters. CAT me if you'd like to come along. I'll be supplying some fizz and munchies.

And me in Central Guildford with DS1 (5) and DS2(4)

Have you tried Wizzy World in Farnborough - spanking new playgym set in the ASDA/B&Q trading park? Its our new favourite soft play.

Ballet lessons

Does anyone have a child that attends ballet lessons that they'd recommend? I'm in woking and looking for something local, on a saturday, fun (not training for the royal ballet at this stage!!) that my daughter would enjoy. She's dance crazy and about to turn 4.

I have listings but I'd quite like a recommendation if poss.

aimeesmummy · 05/07/2007 22:13

Hiya, I'm in Woking too! DD (aged 6) goes to Karen Clarke classes on a Saturday morning in Horsell village hall and Scout hut. They do allsorts, dd does tap and modern but theres ballet too (plus singing and stageschool type stuff for later on - heh heh!) Strangely enough, I've not got a phone number but if you pop into the kitchen in the village hall any time on a Saturday and speak to Nikki, she'll help you. It's really good, the teachers dd has are excellent and she's really enjoying it!

Thanks aimeesmummy, I will give it a try, maybe even see you there!!

Also sorry to hear (from your profile) that you're recently seperated. I was on my own with DD for 3 years, now met someone but do know what it's like (and not all bad as some think!! ;-))

aimeesmummy · 07/07/2007 09:12

Hi conkeyhead, am off to dancing in a mo, I'll pick p a leaflet or something and post a phone number here a bit later.
No worries about me being seperated - it was my choice, still hard thing to do and it seems to be taking me months to get used to my new way of life (in all the time and broke as opposed to live-in cashpoint babysitter!)

Talking of indoor play places, I went to Little Angels at Trilakes (between Yateley and Sandhurst) this week. Bargain price of £2 per child - an offer they are doing Mon-Fri term time only, before 2pm.

Anyone know if Little Angels near Guildford is doing the same offer?

ForcesSweetHeart - Routes 14 and 15 go along Lower Farnham Road. Route 15 stops at Bathing Pool, which I think is the name StageCoach Bus are using for Aldershot Lido, a stones throw from Rushmoor Gymnastics.

WizzyWorld has been around now for a good few years, haven't been since probably 2004/early 2005. Has it changed much? Parking I recall was a nightmare, as their own carpark was not that big and parking on the industrial estate was not child friendly lets say.

ForcesSweetheart · 08/07/2007 17:36

Thanks for the bus info Nick!

DebitheScot · 08/07/2007 21:28

Is little angels similar to Wizzy World then? Not heard of that one. We went to Wizzy World last week for the first time. It was quite good, pretty big but not as big as their website makes it out to be. I live close enough to walk so don't know about parking. It's expensive though. £3.95 for over 1 yr olds. We've previously been to Fizzy Kids in North camp which is quite good too but not as big as Wizzy World (and nearly as expensive which is why I haven't been since ds turned 1).
Planning to try Runabout the next time we're bored on a wet day.

aimeesmummy · 08/07/2007 21:37

conkeyhead I got a phone number for you 01483-773076, Avril. It's the last dancing next week but Avril says if you join in time for next week, there's still time to be included in the Christmas show (I know, I know, it's only July, something to do with ordering costumes!)

Only just discovered the local bit of mumsnet....

OK, nothing to contribute as such, but just want to say hi from Godalming.

MelD26 · 05/08/2007 16:00

Hi there. I'm new to Mumsnet, but live locally in Frimley (nr Farnborough & Camberley) with a nearly 2yr old girl. Would also love to meet with new people with similar age kids. There are some lovely places nearby & we also love the Fizzykids in North Camp which is particularly good in term time or Jakes on the A30 near Bagshot. Will keep checking boards now.

nannynick · 06/08/2007 19:03

Do FizzyKids do any special offers during term time? I've not been to that one, so may check it out - with a 4 month old and 3 year old, I need somewhere young baby friendly.

ForcesSweetheart · 06/08/2007 20:55

Hi Mel, welcome to the local boards. I have a DD aged 19 months and live in Aldershot. If you have transport there's a great coffee shop on Tuesdays at Bethel Church in the Hale area. Theres a room full of toys for the kids to play with and us mums &/or dads get to sit and have a chat over cheap tea & coffee & home-made cakes. All proceeds go to charity. It's a great place to meet other mums over the summer while the toddler groups are closed.

ForcesSweetheart · 06/08/2007 20:56

oops should have said, it's from 10am til 12

derah · 09/08/2007 11:42

Hi ladies, I'm in Bisley, have a dd who is nearly 2 and another due in March (early days).

Mel, we go to Jakes sometimes - quite a lot of fun.

MelD26 · 11/08/2007 16:29

Hi again.

That sounds great ForcesSweetheart but DD goes to nursery on a Tuesday am otherwisw we'd be along there like a shot as it's really difficult in holidays!! Hi derah - yes, we love Jakes as DD can go on the big climbing frame on her own now which islovely for me. How are you doing with pg?
