Hellow out there! I'm a mother of two trying to hook up with other mothers in the West Bridgford area. We're here for a year. I have a 5-year old son and a 21-month old daughter. Currently in temporary apt. in Nottingham, moving to W.Bridgford soon. Any moms groups or activity ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Elaine

Hi,

I'm the only other postee on this site, so I saw your thread. I'm not in West bridgford but have several friends who are - so I know that:

Caterpillar Music do a music and movement class on Monday am at the tenis centre in West Bridgford,

A pub called the Goose at Gamston is a five minute drive along the A52 and runs toddler sessions in a play barn/ball pit thing that would be great for children the age of yours.

from what I know West Bridgford always seems to have a ton of things going on to suit your needs. i think that the health centre is good at promoting classes/groups and I know that there are mother and toddler groups, but not sure where exactly.

hope that this helps

Welcome to Nottingham!

You can meet other mums through the National Childbirth Trust in Nottingham which has a group which meets around the West Bridgford area.

Contact [email protected] to find out contact details. The people who run the coffee group will also be able to point you in the right direction for other activities.

You can also pick up a copy of Buzz Guide for Kids (it's not called that but I don't get it very often) which has loads of listings and is available from libraries.

I spent a few months in the US when my daughter was 9mo and almost a year in Australia when she was 4yo so I know how useful it is to be able to hook up with others to save your sanity!

If you have no joy, come back here and I will see where else I can point you to.

WB is a hotbed of professional non-local families looking for others to connect up with so I'm sure you won't have any problems.
