Living in Kilmarnock

Hi everyone. So I’m 23 currently living in London and have been offered the chance to work up in Scotland in Kilmarnock. I have seen a place in Kilmarnock I really like but the rent is so cheap! Is that because it’s a rough area or just because I’m used to paying astronomical prices in London aha. If Kilmarnock is not such a nice place to live can anyone recommend anywhere that is nice to live and no longer than an hour away on the train from Kilmarnock.

How did it go? I am looking to move to Kilmarnock but not sure cos of some of the things I am reading online

The cost of living in general in Scotland is astronomically cheaper than London... You get a lot more for your money, but having said that, the earning potential is reflected, so you'll probably earn less up here for the same job...
