School Choice dilemma

Hello mumsnetters, I would love to have some advice from you wonderful people.

I moved from London you Selly Park with my fam. My kids are going to be in reception and Y2 in September.

I have been offered for them two schools. St Mary’s Catholic in Harborne and St Edwards in Selly Park.

My heart is telling me to go for St Marys because it’s a very good school but St Edwards is closer and with the children being new to the area would be a good opportunity to meet new friends.

What’s your view?

St Edwards is a fab school with excellent pastoral provision. Highly recommend! Not sure about your drop off needs but the journey from Selly Park to Harborne in the mornings would be a nightmare when you have a great local school on your doorstep.
