Moving to Twickenham with Toddler - Playgrounds, Groups etc Recommendations

Hi All
I am moving to Twickenham in September.

I have a 2 year old daughter and wondered if I could pick your brains for local knowledge on what is going on in the area for us?

We are moving near Crane Park and have visited Kneller Gardens and Bushy Park whilst viewing houses but I wondered if there are any other playgrounds in and around the surrounding area you would recommend? We've spent a lot of time in the countryside while waiting for the move and wondered where locally we might be able to visit animals? We also like to get out and socialise to meet some local mums/dads, toddlers and wondered what groups you would recommend?

I'm moving next to Kneller Garders middle October but I have exactly the same question. I've been living in brentford for the past almost 8 years now and also with a 2 year old. So would appreciate recommendations too

Stating the obvious here, but if you type Twickenham Playgrounds into Google you'll get a map with them all marked on. There are loads. Visit a different one every day and you'll soon meet plenty of other mums.

There are kids' groups and activities for almost any interest you could think of. OP it sounds like Forest School might be up your street (Google it) and maybe Woodcraft Folk for when your child is older. I have no experience of either, but I know others like them.

Check Marble Hill Park, and Radnor Gardens.

For animals, there are the deer in Richmond Park, plus wildlife around the Pen Ponds.

Also worth becoming a member of FORCE, the charity that look after the River Crane environment. They do lots of volunteer days and children can get involved: www.force.org.uk/

Hi. There is obviously the playground at Kneller gardens. There is a sessional pre school at Dera Hall called Happy Hut I believe. Top Meadway/ on 316
