Moving to Cambridge- please advise re Primary Schools & Preschools

We're moving to Cambridge this autumn for my husband's job and we need to find a new preschool for my 3 year old son (and my daughter who will turn 2 in January). My son will start reception next September (2019) so we would also like to find a good primary school for both our children to attend. We don't have an address yet and so can be fairly flexible in terms of where we live -- be it city centre or a village outside of the city. I'd be very grateful for any suggestions of good preschools and primary schools from those of you who have experience. Thanks in advance.

Loads of threads on here - where you live will be massively influenced by where your husband's job is, as traffic is a complete nightmare. If he's at the Science Park you need to look north, Biomed campus stay to the south. Most distances of up to 7 or 8 miles are cycleable. Public transport dire so watch out for that. Most of the villages have good small schools and preschools.

Echoing Jaffacake: where he works will dictate everything. Do not underestimate Cambridge traffic ... or house prices!

House prices are extortionate so how much you have to spend will greatly affect where you will be able to live.
