As part of the centenary of the Suffragette Movement, Gwledd Conwy Feast are creating a film which will projected onto Conwy Civic Hall over the 2018 Feast weekend. Artist Lisa Carter and digital film maker Joel Cockrill are collaborating on the film.

We would really like to hear from women who feel their lives have been changed by the ability to vote, so are requesting that anyone interested makes a ‘selfie-movie’ of their thoughts or experiences which we will use as part of the film.

There are three questions we’re asking women in Wales:

  1. What does voting mean to you and why is it important?
  1. Do you remember casting your first vote?
  1. What does it mean to be a woman/girl in 2018?

If you’d like to be involved, there are some instructions below on how to make the film, how to share it with us
How to make your 'selfie-movie’ with your phone:

1	Find somewhere quiet with a plain background
2	Hold your phone fairly close to your face so it nearly fills the screen and make sure that you are holding the ‘phone landscape.
3	Press record on your phone
4	Please say your name at the start
5	Look straight at the camera, not at the screen or you will be looking sideways in your film
6	Give your answers to the three questions - you don’t have to do them all if you don’t wish to and the video can be up to 1min 30 secs in length.
7 When you are happy with you film please email it to [email protected]
