Want to make some mum friendships,

Hello everyone. So i think i made one post one here years ago, asking a similar question. (Fortunately over the years i have made friendships, and built on existing ones)
HOWEVER. I would still like to make new friendships, I dont have any best friends and the friend that lives closest to me, is always busy with other family or friends.
I wondered if anyone is open to making a whatsapp/snapchat group where maybe we could get to know each other, and then build on friendships from there?
Im 27, have 3 children (7,5 and 11 months) and a stay at home mum. Im a practicing muslim but open to meeting those of different faith x
Have attended playgroups and nurserys with the older two and find it easy to socialise with other mums, but it never ends up turning into a real friendship.
Most people are already busy with their own lives /family/friends/jobs.

Why would someone give a random stranger their phone number? Cant you just chat to other mums at playgroups or school?!

What's wrong with using Mumsnet Local to do this? It's safer to start with! Find out if there are any other MNetters local to you and start a chat thread to get you going - and you could always then organise a meet up. (But please, somewhere safe)

Hi mrbig1. Well clearly im ok with doing this, as I wouldnt have started the thread otherwise. I dont have many posts but have read many mumsnet threads over the years so feel like i do sort of belong.

Thanks for the advice. BIWI. I shall do that. Is it possible to change the name of this thread?

I think you'd have to contact MNHQ to do that - or just start another thread! Hope you manage to make some good local connections. Most MNetters I've met over the years have been lovely!

Have you tried using the ‘Mush’ app? That is excellent for making local mum friends.

@pinklollipop I’m local to you. I’m 31 and I’ve got an 8 year old. Happy to arrange a meet up x
