Alconbury Weald

Hi my husband has been offered a job in Cambridge so we are looking to relocate in the coming months. My daughter is starting school in September as well so schools are an important part of our search. I will also have a two year old at home with me so looking for somewhere with lots of toddler groups/activities to keep us busy througout the day and to meet other mums. Our budget is around 350k and need at least three bedrooms but ideally 4.
One place we are seriously considering is Alconbury Weald it would be great to hear from someone living there. What is it like? Are you happy with the school? What is the morning commute like into Cambridge? Another place we have looked into is Linton if anyone has any advise on that location? Or villages between Huntington and Trapston.

Lullabelle 1983 did you ever move to this area? I was hoping to get some information on what you thought of it. We are not planning to move to the Weald development but are interested in a home in the old part of the area to the west of the Weald. I want to know if the development has affect the area for the better (or for the worse!) TIA

@newandclueless123 did you ever end up moving here? It's in phase two now but we've seen a house we really like and wondering what the catch with the area is as on paper it seems too good to be true!

@Whatsgoingonheretheneh no we didn’t move there in the end. We moved to a village in Essex closer to London which was a real blessing because I think Alconbury was too far distance wise for us. Hope your search is fruitful!
