Looking for new friends

Hi my name is Beth I am 24 and a single parent of a 4yr old little boy I have not long got out of a relationship where I was not allowed to have any friend so now I am single I am looking for some girlfriends to hang out go for coffees and nights out I am a very shy person that struggles to make friends but now finding it hard being all alone. Any help would be much appreciated thanks
