Secondary schools for SEN

PurpleDaisy2114 · 27/05/2018 20:50

Hi all. Am looking for a smaller secondary for my DS, aged 13. He has ASD and high levels of anxiety. He has an EHCP.
Obviously I want to avoid all Grammars and we have already been turned down from St. George's.
Am considering Mainstream, independent and special. DS is high achieving and been predicted top grades for GCSE. He wants to do psychology and Photography if possible. We live in Solihull where there is nothing suitable IMO. He was attending Tudor Grange.

Hello
Not sure if you have managed to find a school but rather than Birmingham which there is so little provision as to be shameful have you looked at this school it's in Warwickshire, I don't know anything about the school but it is not too far from Solihull and their children do GCSE's and their website shows they have a photography school photography show on. Northleigh House School

Thanks peanut butter. Have now found a school and yes, not in Brum but Warks. The school you mention has had safeguarding issues recently unfortunately.

What about the Priory School?

I am really glad you found a school. Can I ask the name?

Not good to hear safeguarding issue at Northleigh.
