My car was hit and run

On Friday the 25th , my car was parked in Waitrose Paddock wood while i was shopping there. When i got back to my car had a massive dent on the door and might need a new one, i am gutted as i LOVE my car . I have a witness and have reported this to the police . if i make a claim with my insurance i loose 5 years bonus and have to pay £180 plus next year the premium will be a lot higher even though it is not my fault or wasnt even in my car . Even though my insurance can see who this person is insured with , they cannot make a claim till they have a name , if anyone recognise this car or know the person can you please contact me . The car was a TERRANO II DIESEL SW - 3.0 Di SVE 5dr and the registered number is NG54 0JP . I just want them to take responsible for what they did and use their insurance to cover this damage .Also i believe it is illegal to hit a car and leave the scene without leaving their details . Thank you .

How ridiculous that they can't do anything without a name. Have you reported to the police? Have you got facebook? If you post on your 'local' pages someone might recognise the plate/car

Report it to the Police as it's a fail to stop accident.

You can get owner keeper details from the DVLA if you make a request to them.

I have reported this to the police , i had to fill a form on line but i am not sure if they are going to do anything about it . But i will chase them up , and will request a owner keeper details to the DVLA and also will try local social media too . I am gutted and very annoyed .
Thank you very much for your help.
