Hi we’re thinking of relocating to stroud. Please tell me everything. Areas to go for and to avoid. Good schools and how many classes per year. Things to do. Groups to join. What are the doctors like. Nearest hospitals. Just everything really

I love it, there’s a good choice of primary schools of various sizes and requirements (Catholic, special needs) not sure about secondary schools as my kids are still small. There’s a small hospital with a minor injuries unit and a maternity unit. It’s a really creative town with a great community and a nice selection of independent shops, a farmers market every Saturday, very central train station and bus station, good choice of supermarkets, very beautiful area

If you’re wanting to live centrally I’d recommend slad road or the ‘top of town’, but there’s some beautiful villages around too
