Hi. We are looking at Prep Schools and wondered if anyone would be happy to recommend ones that they considered good.
We have been to see Cumnor House, Caterham Prep and Reigate St Mary's.
Our LO has a sensory processing problems so anyone with SEN experience/encounter from the schools in the area, please... please help! Thanks.

Does anyone out there have children in any of these schools? Advice would be greatly appreciated. Sad

Our child is starting at Caterham prep in September. We loved the school when we visited but can't give you the voice of experience yet. I don't know how good it would be for SEN. We didn't ask about that and they didn't mention it when we visited.

It depends on the level of SEN. All three Prep Schools are not known for being particularly strong on SEN provisions, although Caterham Prep recently appointed a good SEN teacher. However, all three are pretty competitive, with the expectation that the parents will take an active role in motivating and supporting the children's learning (eg hiring tutors for subjects they are weaker in) rather offering guidance. Micklefield School (also in Reigate) has a very supportive atmosphere and good SEN provision, and parents of children with SEN have reported being very happy with it and children from the school (both with and without SEN) are known to thrive at Micklefield and progress on to good schools. Other schools with SEN provision are Box Hill and Moon Hall College, although you might wish to speak to parents at the school about their experience with them. It really depends on the level and the nature of the support that your child needs.
