Weekend in Attleborough

We are staying this weekend in a cottage with the in laws... Saturday we are going to one of the stately homes and Sunday I was thinking of a seaside town... maybe Lowestoft? Or is there a better one to spend a day at? Is Kings Lynn a better place to visit? We are couple in 70s, couple in 40s and 2x DDS of 12 and 16.
And would Saturday or Sunday be better for whichever coastal town we go to?

Oh, and the in laws are from NZ if that makes a difference?

Don’t go to Kings Lynn. The coast East of there is nice though - Brancaster etc. Lowestoft has nice sandy beaches nearby but the town isn’t that nice. Attleborough isn’t really that close to the coast though? What about Norwich or the Broads?
