Advice needed on relocation

Hi there! I am relocating to UK with my 2 kids aged 6yrs and 9yrs from Singapore this July. I will be working at Oxford Business Park. But need to commute to London too often for work. Pls suggest me some places to live for families between Oxford and London. I would be driving most of the time. Also, need to know the good school areas. Some suggested me High Wycombe, Beaconsfield or Marlow. But I need some expert suggestions from the longtime residents.

You could try looking at Princes Risborough, Thame or Wheatley areas.

I'm out of date with schools as my dc's are young adults now. There are lots of nice villages between the towns I've mention. House prices tend to get dearer the closer you get to London so you would get more for your money as you go towards Oxford. The M40 is a good road which connects the two cities so anywhere near there would make access easy, although Oxford is notoriously bad for commuting into by car at peak times from any direction. Other possibilities would be Kidlington on the outskirts of Oxford or Bicester which both have good train links to both cities and are near M40.

I'm coming to this late, but would recommend Beaconsfield. Property is not cheap but prices have stalled recently. The train into Marylebone takes around 30 minutes, it's right on the M40 and it has the Grammar school system.

Also a bit late on this but train is more often from high Wycombe and property is a bit more affordable than Beaconsfield. Plus it's having a lot of renovation and there's talk of opening up its historic river in the town centre. Possibly a good area for you.
