Hi
This is my first time on mumsnet & couldn’t think of anywhere else to look for advice.
My husband & kids & I are looking to move to Tiverton. I wondered if there are any areas better than others or quieter? I have a teenage son & worry he will be too remote & that everywhere will be full of older people & I won’t have anyone to have a glass of wine with!
Any advice gratefully received

Tiverton is a lovely place to live.

There are lots of primary schools to choose from but only one high school. There is Cullompton and Uffculme a bus ride away if you do not like Tiverton High. Both my children are there and they have got on really well there.

The local town has a few independant shops and quite a lot of charity shops and hairdressers. We have a Morrisons and a Tesco and there is planning for a Lidl.
The nearest Asda/Iceland/Sainsburys etc are located in Taunton and Exeter, both are around 20 - 30mins drive away and we have good bus links there.

There is a leisure centre and skatepark and 2 parks. One has a small paddling pool in it.

Most areas are ok to live, although you get a few rough areas, i wouldnt say one was worse than the other.
There is a new housing development being built and there are regeneration plans in place.

If there is anything specific you would like to know, i am happy to help
