Hi we are moving as soon as possible to County Durham I was wondering where the nicer areas are and if anyone has any local knowledge that would be helpful I'd really appreciate it. Thank you in advance

Hi, I live in a small village 4 miles from Durham City Centre. There are a lot of pit villages around Durham and theres a lot of development work going on in the villages too building new houses so you shouldn't have a problem finding something you like. Like with all places there are good and bad areas so it depends on what area you are looking at I guess but there is loads to do in and around Durham so entertainment shouldn't be a problem.

County Durham is quite big and varies enormously from village to village. Do you want to be more countryside or more coastal? Did you have anywhere in particular in mind? Barnard Castle, Cockfield (sniggers) and Bowes areas are naaice.
