Hello all... Looking at moving to Swindon soon. I have driven a bit around Swindon - East & West parts. I'm considering Covingham to the East and Westlea to the west. The west part has local amenities and the train station not too far. Any advice. I've been hearing things about Toothill... I have no idea. Is Westlea a safe are for a parent? Please help me out! Thanks. Appreciated!

Too think isn't nice at all. Westlea is fine though as is the rest of West Swindon. Covingham is fine too and easy to get to the station (well as easy as Westlea!) . Is it just those areas that you are looking at?

Toothill not too think!!

Covingham and Westlea for now. I've avoided the "P" areas. Covingham seems quite private but I'm not sure how far the local shops are as opposed to the shopping estate near Lydia Park, Westlea. Westlea looks a bit greener but i know if quite close to toothill. I do prefer a quite private estate though. Appreciate your time though. Any advice?

My brother says covingham and toot hill aren't very nice but most of west swindon is nice

The local shops are nicer in west Swindon than covingham. Toothill and westlea are quite separate so I wouldn't worry about that. Ha yes avoid the Ps although you are safe with the newer P areas!

I’d avoid toothill and anything beginning with P! West Swindon is nice. You have the shopping centre and plenty of activities plus a good bus link. Plus lydiard park is so close and lovely in the summer

So possibly saw something nice around Westlea, watercrook mews . Still got Toothill just on the outskirt. Any advice about the location though. Cheers.
