Bishop Gore or Olchfa? Sketty or Brynmill?

Hi All,

We will be moving to Brynmill in a couple of months!! Super excited.

I have 2 DC's one in year 7 one in year 5. My yr 7 really wants to go to Olchfa as they know people there. However, Bishop Gore is in easy walking distance so this is the school I prefer. I believe both schools have an Estyn Excellent report and both have places so I would love to hear some views to help us decide...

Also, for year 5 child, Brynmill or Sketty Primary??

I don't know about the primary schools, but would advise Olchfa rather than Bishop Gore for the secondary.

BG has a much more mixed catchment. Top set results are usually very good, but it's a different picture in the lower sets. I know some of the teaching staff there, so don't want to say too much more.
