Clifton without nice?

Hey! Me and DH are moving from London to York. Rawcliffe/Clifton without has the nicest houses in our budget. Can anyway shed light on what the area is like?

Sorry, only just seen this. I live there, on a cul de sac. I'm quite near Clifton moor retail park. There are good public transport links. I back onto a bus route, but hear very little most of the time. I've never lived in/near a city before and thought I wouldn't like it, but it's really good.
