Those Awkward Conversations - Talking to your kids about Porn - 15th March @ 7.30pm
Parents and Carers are most welcome to join us at the Centre for a seminar on how to give your child the best chance of staying safe on the internet, particularly when it comes to pornography.
Young people are growing up surrounded by internet enabled technology and on the whole they are much better at accessing information than any of us. This means that they are connected to the outside world like never before and although this opens up a whole range of opportunities, there are also some threats.
One of these threats is the easy access to unregulated online pornography and sexually explicit material - its as easy as typing 'sex' into google and clicking on images.
This seminar will discuss the issues surrounding this availability and will help you with the awkward conversations you may need to have with your children, in order to keep them safe online.
Venue - St Mary’s Church, Wyndham Place, between York and Crawford St, 19.30 15th March 2018, £10 a person including drinks and nibbles
