St Joseph's College and Ipswich School

What are opinions on these two schools please? We're moving to the area and Ipswich School looks fantastic but may be a bit pushy on the academic side. I'm worried that my DD and DS couldn't keep up with the pace (looking at Rec and Y3).

St Joseph's was a bit less impressive on first impressions but maybe it has a gentler pace which is right for some?

Is St Joesph's considered to be below Ipswich by those in the know? Is it a consolation prize for those that don't get in - or fit in - with Ipswich? I can see that Ipswich is a Good Schools Guide School but St Joseph's isn't. Is that important?

Any and all thoughts very welcome.

From past experience you are right about Ipswich. St. Joe’s is supposed to be ok. There was mention of Woodbridge (Abbey and Queen’s) in Primary Education earlier. Might be useful. There are quite a few other options in the area too to consider if you are not tied to area.
