There is a major consultation underway to decide on strategies to improve transport access along the A1307. The consultation launched on 9th February - I'm interested to know if people have seen publicity about it and are aware of the proposals, or is it Cambridge's best kept secret?

You can find out all about it here: www.greatercambridge.org.uk/transport/transport-projects/cambridge_south_east_study/cambridgesoutheastconsultation/

I feel like it's being widely advertised - I had an email to my own account (I think because I've previously indicated interest), had another email from work about it and we have had a pamphlet through our letterbox at home.

Thanks CamMum that's good to know. Presumably you work on one of the Science Parks (Granta, Biomed Campus) - can I ask (roughly) where you live? There has been nothing at all delivered at the city end of the route yet, hence my original question!

DorothyParker111 - yes, I work at Granta Park and I live in Stapleford.

Yeah, it’s been heavily advertised at my workplace (one of the campuses) and there was traffic monitoring equipment everywhere along A11/M11/A505 junctions today. Not sure if they are doing anything about east-west traffic though. I also had a personal email, probably because I previously filled in a survey.

Thanks for this - I hadn't heard about it I suspect because we are just over the border into Essex and so it's not seen as anything to do with us. Why Uttlesford DC isn't part of the Greater Cambridge Partnership is a mystery - I suspect more people come into Cambridge from where I am than from Peterborough area for work, leisure etc and that will only increase as the Biomedical Campus and Science Parks on the south of the city grow.
