Havering hackspace and makerspace

I thought I would try to start a combined hackspace and makerspace in the Havering area.

For those not familiar, a hackspace is a community-operated, often not for profit, work space where people with common interests, often in computers, machining, technology, science, digital art or electronic art, can meet, socialise and collaborate. There is currently no such amenity in the area.

I've set up a public forum - forum.haveringhack.space/ - as a place for people interested to discuss the project and start to build a community. If we get enough people interested we can start having meetings - perhaps in a pub or coffee shop, and we can appeal to the local authority for funding for a dedicated space.
