Hello all, my DD has been offered a place for Year 3 in Sept at both St John's College School and Kings College School. We are going to move to Cambridge in the summer and I have to accept a place and put down a deposit by the end of the week - does anyone have any insights into what are the key differences between the schools as they both seem similar? Many thanks x

My son is at King’s and is absolutely thriving. We didn’t look at John’s because King’s ticked all the boxes for us but a lot of the other parents did. The ones I’ve spoken to have said that overall the children just seemed happier and more content at King’s when they looked round.

Both schools are excellent. Kings is more traditional and Johns is more modern and a bit more laid back academically (but still very good). Johns is quite idyllic in the way they try to keep childhood special. Johns tends to have very wealthy parents, Kings parents are a bit more quirky. Make of that what you will.
