Primary Schools dilemmas...does anyone ever leave St Elizabeths in Year 3/4??

We have a sweet 8 year old boy who is desperately unhappy in a school in Kew.
He is a bright button but not an academic high achiever like so many Richmond little ones!
We are trying out for Tower House [as I think he might really benefit from being in a school until 13+] but it will be a real financial stretch. And a place would only be from September.
We have just been offered a place at Sheenmount - what to do? It only goes until 11+......but.....it is available now and is not a financial stretch clearly.....
Also, we are hoping [against odds] for a place in St Elizabeths. Our 8 year old is on the Waiting List there too for entry to Year 3/4 next year. They have said they cannot say at all if a place will come up for this year for our son.
To add to the mix, our 8 year old has a younger brother who is down for Reception in Tower House, and we have applied for places in Sheenmount and St Elizabeths.....
It would be lovely for the two boys to go together.....
Any views/help? I am so uncertain which is not like me!
Thank you.

Hi there has this all worked out for you? Hopefully it has but just to let you know if you don’t already that places at st Elizabeth’s seem to come up every year, very international school so lots of people move away for work etc
