Collis or St Mary's and St Peter's Primary?

Hi all

Can I ask your views on these two primaries please? Our preference is for a non-religious school but we wouldn't mind CoE. Though we will be moving to the area just before next round applications and haven't been to the church. If we decide to opt for CoE, is it difficult to get it via catchment criteria? How religious is it? Looking to buy a house so the decision on school makes a big difference to our search.

If it's a reception place you're after, and you haven't been to church and want to go apply to St Mary's & St Peter's you will need to move virtually next door to the school. Maybe slight exaggeration but best to check LEA as to where the cut off was distance-wise for non religious applicants. Collis will be easier I think and give you more choice of houses. If it's an in year application, you may not have a choice. Both are great schools.

I only know St Mary's and St Peter's. It's got a nice CofE ethos about it and they say a prayer in assembly but otherwise I wouldn't say it's particularly religious. It's a lovely school. Re catchment, best to ring the council and ask about distances. You can probably check it out online too.
