Hired help for four days

Hi,

Does anybody know how I would go about finding someone to be a hired help for four days or a week while my husband goes away travelling?

I'm looking for someone who would be nice to have around and who can keep us company, do a bit of housework, and walk my son to school if I get some badly timed lurgy.

I don't have any great suggestions, but whenever I look on Childcare.co.uk there always seem to be quite a lot of people looking for rather general babysitting/au pair level work, sometimes at the same time as studying part time. I've not looked recently mind you, maybe everything's changed! It might be worth putting up an ad describing what you want?
