Does anyone change schools for S5?

That's it really! Is there a move around at the end of S4 or do the children stay on at their schools to see out S5 and S6?

Scottish schools are generally straight through from S1 to S6 we don't have the English sixth form college type model. The vast majority of students stay in the same school all through until they leave. As a result friendship groups are generally well established and it would make it a bit more difficult to join as a newbie at that stage.

As above, I'd say it's not unusual for 1 or 2 to move for S6 if you want to do subjects your school doesn't offer, but not particularly common I don't think.

My daughter has gone to other schools for one class where it didn't fit in her timetable. It's been ok. But very few actually move schools.
