Good mainstream schools with autism unit

Hi there,

Just wondered if any childcare professionals or parents know of any good primary schools. We are looking to move out of Enfield and are going to start looking for schools with an additional resource unit that specialise in autism, (language and communication).

Hoping anyone may have some first hand experience or advice as we are not sure where to start looking...!

There aren't any schools with autism based in Herts. There are some primary schools with speech and language units but there are more focused on conditions such as verbal dyspraxia- they also are meant to just be short term, I was told 2 years max.

Does your child have an EHCP, if not seriously consider applying for one in Enfield as they are very hard to get in Herts.
