Waiting lists for primary school?

My family is wanting to move to Nottingham but I have heard that there are waiting lists for primary schools and that it is possible that my children (6 & 8) will not be able to go to school for up to two years. That sounds ridiculous to me, the right to education is a fundamental human right, so they must offer us some kind of school, surely? Does anybody know more about this?

They will offer you somewhere but depends what area of Nottingham you are looking for. Many good and outstanding schools are over subscribed so it might not be the nearest school to your house!
