Relocation to London

Hello,
We would be relocating to London with a toddler and are on the lookout for an apartment with a max budget of GBP 1200 per month(excluding Bills). My husband will be working in Canary Wharf and for the first year our priority is to stay closer to Canary Wharf. Our initial research Is leading us to consider north Greenwich (near the station) or an area within Greenwich. We are ok moving into a 1 bedroom apartment.
Since we have a toddler we would like to

  1. be in a good family area with good schools around 2)some parks in the vicinity 3)walking distance to Tesco or other department stores. 4)would prefer to live in an area which has playgroups for kids and activities for mothers to do during the day.

Can we get advise on the areas we could consider or particular areas we should avoid within Greenwich or north Greenwich.
Thanks in advance..
Regards

East london area a very spacious 1bed is £1300 with a local Tesco downstairs and it’s only like 3stops on the dlr to Canary Wharf.

Thanks teaortequila23,

I've been hearing a lot about Blackheath being a good place to live. Any thoughts on that? Thanks!

Hey I don’t know anything about that area but if DP is working in Canary Wharf it may be a little far.
