Evicted and homeless with 4 children

Hi , me and my husband plus our four kids are being evicted on a week Friday, due to high mortgage arrears.
Homelessness officer is still doing her investigation on us , I have severe mental health problems and physically classed as disabled, my son also has high anxiety.
Just wondering if there’s anything I can do to speed up the process or anyone been through the same or similar situation???
My eldest is having a op this Friday and we’ve been told to keep her in for two weeks to prevent infection etc
Scared and feeling alone xx

Hi Sarah, not much advice I am afraid but Have you got family to stay with or are you hoping for the council to offer you temporary accommodation? If you haven’t contacted them already BHT or Homework’s will be able to give you some good advice.

Hi I can’t stay with family, they’ve told me to phone in the 23 to be told where we are going on the 24
Yes I’m hoping to get a council house.... never in my life did I think I’d be asking for help in homing but I am .
With the severity of my physical and mental health problems I just can’t cope not knowing x

There is support to help you with all this, talk to your H.V or school, ask for an Early Help Keyworker.

Hi got a lot of support in place , when homeless officer finished her investigation they can then step up .
Hate begging for help as we’ve always owned our home & im now seeing what state the country is in through my eyes it’s awful x

I feel for you and wish you luck. My ex-H, tried to kill me, he had lost his business, didnt tell me, got behind with the mortgage, (had insured me for £100.000) he was arrested taken away, my boss came to see me told me he couldnt possibly have me working for them when this hit the papers, no, job, wait for benefits, behind with mortgage, DM dying of cancer. Went to court CCJ, because I hadnt made myself homeless council obliged to help, youngest 2 DSs still at home, they were going to put in B & B 30 miles away, where you had to actually leave after breakfast and walk the streets, also had a cat and dog. Then they gave me a victorian house, that was being demolished, lost most of my furniture to the ballifs, couldnt afford storage, no-one able to help. One year, there, given council house, then new DH,new baby, new life! It was the worst time of my life, I could even grieve for my DM who died just before I was made homeless. My (late) Father got a girlfriend 6 weeks down the line, no support from him! BUT i got through, here I am.
