Top valley

Just put an offer down on bakewell drive in top valley. I don't know the area but seemed like a nice house. Any views?

I suppose it depends what you re talking about. I don't know the street that you are talking about, but have previously worked close by at the City Hospital.

It has an enormous Tesco there, and its close to Bulwell for the retail park. There are good transport links into the city via the tram and the buses. Its close to the City Hospital and Sherwood which I love, as well as Bestwood Park which is lovely.

I don't know if you have children and are looking at schools. Its probable that Westglade might be your catchment. It went into a category last year but has managed to pull itself around and is now a Good school. There are several other schools within the area. I know that in certain parts of the city (I am in the county) school places can be a bit tricky.

Secondary (if you need it) is likely to be Parkvale, which is a brand new school, from the old Top Valley Academy. Its part of the Redhill Academy group. There have been several rumblings I have heard about the academy chain but there are worse in the city (LEAD and Nottingham Academy have much worse reputations).
