* Hello everyone! At the Infant and Child Lab (University of Birmingham) we are looking for 17-month-olds or kids that soon will be 17 months to take part in an interesting research investigating infant language development and how vocabulary learning can be enhanced.

What would your child do?
Over a series of 9 sessions, your child will play with several toys and will watch a few short video clips.

How long would it take?
Your child will be assessed in weekly sessions that will last between 30 and 50 min.

Where would it take place?
The research will take place at the Infant and Child Laboratory at the University of Birmingham.

As an appreciation of your time and participation, your child will receive a toy or a book at the end of the study, and a “Junior Scientist” diploma. Travel expenses (up to £5 per visit) can be reimbursed.
If you are interested in taking part or would like more information, please contact the main researcher Claudia Zuniga on [email protected] or 07746197870, or the project supervisor Dr Andrea Krott on [email protected]

Have you thought about advertising at Children's Centres ?

I hope you are successful in finding participants, but if you don’t mind me saying that’s quite a lot of visits and a very specific age of child you are asking for, with very little incentive.
