Hi looking to move to Marston Moretaine and was wondering what it’s like. A lot of new builds and estates seem to be there. What are they like to live on?

I'm also considering Marston Moretaine. The houses look good and the prices are very reasonable. Wanted Milton Keynes, but it looks like we are being priced out of there.

We like the Marston park development and it seems good value. The only issue at the moment is the incinerator planned for the other side of the forest park by Covanta. We’re keeping a close eye on what happens with that as I think it’s the reason why prices are so good at the moment!

The prices are so good because MK is creeping towards Bedford and Marston is seen as outlying.

A few things : the main USP of Marston is 'convenient for the M1'

The biggest recent excitement there has been a new CoOp!

Schools are OK - been some issues with the upper school but they have been working hard. Middle school a bit meh. Separate sixth form (all a bit weird!)

It's quite a long way to the nearest supermarket.

Nice curry house.

Forest park great for dogs and kids.

Nicer than Wootton where I live, I would say but more isolated.

Covanta!

We like it here. Reasonable public transport links (and being improved with new housing) can't recommend the local schools but we have gone outside of catchment. Friendly village feel. Nice walks, has a couple of shops. Convienent for Bedford, MK and M1.
As others have said Covanta is a concern but there will be elements of concern where you live and potential for development anywhere.
